Automobiles in German City Discovered Marked with Nazi Symbols in Human Blood, Police State

Incident location Affected vehicle Area Law Enforcement
Officers mentioned they were alerted by a man who found a car in Hanau covered with red-colored substance

Roughly fifty vehicles have been covered with what appears to be blood from a person in the German town of Hanau near Frankfurt, police confirm authorities.

Automobiles, exterior walls and postboxes were marked, in some cases with swastikas, they announced in a statement.

Police state they were notified during the night on Wednesday evening, when a resident observed that a automobile in the Lamboy neighborhood of Hanau had been marked with a reddish substance.

The substance had been placed in the pattern of a banned symbol, they stated.

Law enforcement then found numerous other marked automobiles and house walls in the nearby vicinity.

These symbols are banned in Germany under laws outlawing the public exhibition of Nazi symbols.

Officials state initial examinations suggest the substance was probably human blood.

"There is still no clue as to its origin; investigators are currently not aware of any injuries in relation with the event," they commented.

Local authorities said they were working "to unravel the incident" and have appealed to the public for tips.

A high-ranking political figure stated the incident rendered him without words and had to be resolved promptly.

"This act hits the center of Hanau and reawakens the pain of the far-right terrorist attack in 2020," he posted on social media, referring to the killing of nine victims by a assailant targeting residents of migrant background in 2020.
